Looking for newborn care classes? Our postpartum doulas teach infant care in your home, with your own baby, or by video.
By Karen, Certified Postpartum Doula
Many parents look for a newborn care class. With us, you learn with your own baby, in your own home, or by video.
What we teach
- Feeding, whether you’re breastfeeding, pumping or bottle feeding
- Burping, diapering and baby laundry
- Soothing and settling
- Safe sleep: baby sleeps Alone, on their Back, in a Crib or bassinet
- Cleaning bottles and pump parts, and storing milk
In your home
Infant care and newborn education are part of every daytime shift, with your own baby. Daytime care is $55 to $75 an hour with a 4 hour minimum.
Overnight, you wake up to notes on feeds, diapers and sleep, and if you’d rather stay up and ask questions, you’re always welcome to.
By video
When getting someone to the house isn’t practical, we support you by video: infant care education, feeding support, sleep consulting, registry guidance and emotional support. Virtual support is $50 an hour.
Help with feeding
If feeding is the hard part, our team includes IBCLCs. More about lactation support.
Paying for it
We’re an accepted provider for Carrot, Maven and Progyny, and postpartum care is reimbursable with an HSA or FSA. How to use your benefit.
